WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

We want to end employer sanctions. In 1986, Reagan started a domino effect by passing IRCA which has lead to working class division decades later. By creating a criminalized underclass, all workers' rights were assaulted. Now Trump deports anyone he likes. We believe repealing employer sanction will undermine both Trump and ICE, while uniting working people across status.

While predominately based in NYC, ending employer sanctions demands a mass national movement. This petition asks all the US to join us and turns to California Governor Gavin Newsom to help us. He recently showed that he would stand with immigrants, when he asked Trump to "Arrest [him]" instead. We demand that he go further. Together with a united working class, we can centre the conversation on employer sanctions and raise working condition for all.

WHY NOW?

The System Is Broken

Employer sanctions have created a permanent underclass of workers vulnerable to exploitation. Employers use the threat of deportation to suppress wages, ignore safety violations, and prevent organizing.

Government Inaction

In 1986, Employer Sanction passed with bipartisan support. Now, Trump campaigns on deporting all immigrants, while Democrats praise them for taking low-wage no-rights jobs. Let's unite the working class and demand more from our government.

Ice Raids

ICE, in 2025, increased presence across the USA, targeted schools and illegally detained anyone. Trump's "One Beautiful Bill" moved money from public goods to ICE. The increased spotlight and negativity towards ICE has helped to link communities across citizenship status.

Gavin Newsom: "Arrest Me"

California Governor Gavin Newsom told Trump to "Arrest Me" after confrontation over the National Guard being deployed to anti-ICE protests. As he runs for President, let's urge him to go further and stand with immigrants and working people.
